WELCOME TO GREAT BRITAIN! Print

- Welcome to Au Pairing in Great Britain!

Cor blimey! What a lot of history, culture, action packed into a small island. There's so much to see you will forget Europe is on the doorstep. British village life is quaintly unchanged for centuries, but city life is a mirror of Britain's colonial past - melting pots of vibrant cultures and ethnicities.

You will find plenty of actionwith summer music festivals, Welsh extreme sports and hiking in the incredible Lake District.

Encounter history at every turn with literary shrines to Beatrix Potter and Jane Austen, world-class (gob-smacking!) museums like the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert to name a few, crumbly castles galore, anda chance to indulge in right royal high drama with a tour of the infamous Tower of London.

With a fantastic public transport system (double deckers yeehah!), and fairly short distances between top spots, you will have plenty of opportunities to discover all the greats in Great Britain! You can marvel at the secrets of Stonehenge in the olde-worlde county of Wiltshire and a train ride awayin London feel a sense of occasion as you walk up theMall and gazeat 'Buck House' diligently guarded bythe Queen'sBeefeaters.

Become a member of the 'Brit pack' and Au Pair fora family in this land you'll soon come to call 'home'!

News: The UK has a shortage of Au Pairs at the moment so the conditions there are good. You could be placed anywhere in the UK, not just London!

WHAT IS AN AU PAIR? An Au Pair lives and works for a host family in the country of your choice. You help with childcare and housework for a certain number of hours each week (approximately 25-30) in exchange for room, board and a weekly allowance (see below for more information about Au Pairing in Great Britain).
