WILLKOMMEN IN DEUTSCHLAND! Print

- Welcome to Au Pairing in Germany!

Germany, the land of poets and thinkers, has a dazzling list of 'who's who' through the centuries - Beethoven, Albert Einstein, Marlene Dietricht, Brothers Grimm (and Heidi Klum!)

A powerhouse of ideas and industry, Germany is the most populated country in Europe, with the largest economy. Gleaming cities like night owl Berlin, shop-till-you-drop Munich and baroque Dresden will captivate you at every turn.

On your days off discover a countryside brimming with medieval villages and towns like Rothenburg ob der Tauber, fairytale forests (check out Thuringia), the great Alps (awesome alpine skiing), with the Legendary River Rhine meandering through this fascinating tapestry.

Germans are renowned for being house proud, hospitable and incredibly detailed planners! Au Pairing is a wonderful opportunity to learn all about German traditions, improve your German language swiftly, and immerse yourself in a rich European culture.

Language: Similarly to Austria, you don't need to be able to speak all that much German to be an Au Pair in Germany; you just need to have studied it before.

WHAT IS AN AU PAIR? An Au Pair lives and works for a host family in the country of your choice. You help with childcare and housework for a certain number of hours each week (approximately 25-30) in exchange for room, board and a weekly allowance (see below for more information about Au Pairing in Germany).
